Bullying

Kids are cruel, they really are, I never wanted to see my daughter going through the things I did but here I am with my 14yo now on antidepressants due to bullying because of her weight, height, hairiness, anything these bitches can think of. The school supposedly has an anti bullying policy in place, yet the deputy knows these girls are doing this and nothing is being done, i kept DD home today and phoned to speak to the deputy, didn't even get a call back! They wonder why parents end up taking things into their own hands :/

Swearing

When it comes to kids, young ones, should we watch our P's and Qs? Or teach them that it's not appropriate for little kids to swear? I personally swear in front of mine, I think it's better to hear it and not be bothered by it than be mortified when they here it off others, 4 of my kids learn fast what was appropriate to say and what wasn't and never had issues with them swearing, til now! My 3yo loves to curse, the F bomb is his favourite, and bitch! and he has now taken a liking to dumbarse! For example hubby text me this morning asking me to ask mr 3 where he put his ratchet, to which mr 3 replied "I dunno, probly in the tool box dumbarse" 😣 as much as I know he shouldn't say it, I can't help but giggle before I reprimand and find myself constantly turning my back so he can't see me smile, how do they learn the right context to swear in anyway?

I'm back

Well wow! Well over a year since my last post, so much has happened! I'm now a mum of 6! Our darling lil number 6 is now in fact 5 months old! Things have been so busy is forgotten all about this little blogger. We have moved AGAIN as well! Going to need to start blogging again, at least for the sake of my own memories, not everything can be shared on FB can it! I will come back here tomorrow with a full update!

Feeling thankful

My kids make me laugh! So so much, they have their naughty moments, and yet fight and argue but geez they are funny too, so today I am thankful for how much my kids make me laugh <3

Catchin up

Wow has it really been 5 months since my last post?? Well, we have moved a few weeks ago, a few hours from our old house so all alone now haha, kids are settling ok into their new schools, miss 13 is finding some of the kids strange, a lot are from communes in the area and have different ways of thinking, master 5 and 7 are now at a small country school with only 2 classes and 25 other students and they seem to be loving it, miss 3 likes her new pre-school and master 2 has adjusted well also, hubs is loving being closer to work, and I'm loving having things I haven't had in a long time, like an oven and laundry taps lol I'm not feeling lonely yet. But annoyed at the people who don't seem to care enough to ask if I'm coping ok. No one even offered to help us move or with the kids, not even a fb message to see if we have settled, just a little realisation of who really matters I guess

just a vent

firstly merry christmas and happy new year, again its been awhile between posts but oh well :)

im not one to really do the whole new years resolution thing but have thought i would really like this year to be a good one, to try a bit harder, to be more patient, more understanding, to not swear so much, not yell so much, have more motivation and just be a better wife and mother in general and so far failing miserably i want these kids to stop fighting with each other and going out of their way to irritate each other and actually be helpful and fucking love each other, is it too much to ask? to not whinge and dob for 5 minutes, they arent naughty kids, im very lucky to have good kids, its mainly their mouths!!!! and i just have no patience atm!

teenage girls

what is it with the young teenage girls of today, twelvies as they are now known, there seem to be a percentage that are all about make-up, flashing their boobs, and getting it on with boys, (some years older) and yeah i mean 12 year olds going all the way, and then there is another percentage the for some fucked up reason sit back and are jealous and envious of the other group and just pretend to be dumb ditsy morons to cover up the fact they have half a brain! Surely there is still the group of half decent guys that want to be with a smart girl, that has intelligence and doesnt laugh at really inappropriate or just plain not funny times, and one that has self respect and not throws herself at every boy that comes near, how do we as mothers make our daughters understand its ok to be the smart one, the one that is uninterested in swapping spit in the playground, that enjoys doing her homework and having friends and a normal sense of humour? i know i keep telling me its ok to be who you are and never pretend to be someone you arent to make someone else happy especially if it means lowering your standards and respect, and while at the age of 12 im satisfied that she is listening and taking things on board and disgusted in the girls swapping spit, flashing their boobs and going all the way, how much longer is it going to last before she turns into one of those girls she now sneers at? please tell me it will be forever lol she will be a good girl and study hard and worry about boys when she is in her 20's and ready to find a husband lol yeah yeah i know but for now i'll keep dreaming
